The Sealing Process

Scheduling & Weather

Sealing is weather-sensitive, so we only seal in clear conditions. We'll give an estimated timeframe, confirm the date when the weather looks clear, and keep you informed of changes. Returning customers can schedule online or by postcard.

Driveway Cleaning & Trimming

We start by cleaning the driveway with high-speed blowers and wire brooms, ensuring proper sealant adhesion, and trimming grass from the edges for a clean boundary (please note: we do not perform professional edging).

Oil Spot Treatment

Any oil spots on the driveway are treated with a primer before applying the sealer. While oil spots may still bleed through the sealer, we advise against applying any chemicals to clean them. Let the sun naturally "bake them out" of the driveway.

Crack Treatment

We treat the edges and the end of your driveway with our premium quality crack treatment. Please note: we do not treat surface cracks.

Apply the Sealer

Our sealer is applied with a broom penetration finish. We do not spray. This method ensures an even and thorough application, maximizing protection.

Rope Off the Driveway

After applying the sealer, we rope off the driveway to prevent any foot or vehicle traffic while it cures.
